EO and AWC qualifications are behind us and how did they fall for us? We did not qualify.

What at first may sound sad, ending with incredible joy and tears in eyes! And that’s exactly what happened at our weekend in Přerov. This time it will be a bit longer 🙂

On Saturday we did not well, stupid mistakes, unnecessary disqualification, when I or Chase failed. I cried because I had no idea how continue. In the last year, we both moved forward incredibly, I don‘t start with a stiff legs, my head isn’t full of thoughts, “what we are going to do with the flat out on the 15th,” I’m trying to be here and now. I’m not afraid of Chase before the start, we’re dealing with things around, sit and stay and another million things I can count on. However, this is not enough, because you have to trust in it too! And it missed me a lot. As my friend Eliška said, “You’re running as if you were expecting to go wrong and it just goes wrong!” So it just went wrong on Saturday. In the last run, we have gone to the bottom, lots of flat outs … that Chase did not give one that was extremely complicated, I would understand, but that he didn’t get a wall that was straight? : D Just when it works, it works. I finally sent him to the running dogwalk and completely misrepresented what to do next, so we could put our hands in the finish 🙂
I knew that if we wanted to qualify at least for EO, then we have to run two runs clean with great time … but give two runs out of three, when we hadn‘t quite a decent run before the nine choices before? Unreal! But I found out that this is the most important thing for us. If we do not have “you should give it” on our back, but “this is a challenge”. So we went to it!
And the result?
The first jumping on Sunday BEST TIME, 2 bars – one bar was Chase‘s and one mine, because I simply forgot the long jump after the change of the handling (that’s what you will see in the video), and then I did not help Chase at that out after. But do you understand that? We would have that time even faster!
The second run on Sunday – agility by Sari Mikkila at the beginning there was a huge challenge – two outs in a row, but how is it called “who is afraid, … in the corner”? So I just got two blind crosses and I managed! Unfortunately, one bar hit after the long jump, where I ran too far and fast, but then I got blind cross behind the dogwalk? Yes, the contact was very tight, but what more we wanted to do when we paused in the running dw and stopped at the races 🙂 Well, what was that? Again BEST TIME! We left the world’s best teams behind us! I’ll live long enough for that! 🙂
In the last jumping from our great judge Slavka Podmolova I knew we had no chance to qualify, so we went to enjoy it! And enjoyed! Despite huge turn from the tunnel and after the long jump we WON with the SECOND FASTEST TIME!

So what more do you want? Yes, one bar decided that we will go to the European Open only as spectators, but I will have the feeling for myself for a long time!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR CZECH CHAMPIONSHIP

Last weekend of qualifications was successful! We qualified for Czech Championship this year with one awesome run with one bar and another clean run on 2nd place! 🙂
