Czech agility championship 2018
The year 2018 is not going to be written down as the best. Although we were doing well on tryouts and other competitions. I was working on me psychologically and physically, Chase was better and better on the training sessions. His health, however, gave us a stalk.
As I have already written in previous posts, the first problem with the shoulder appeared after a seminar in Italy in August. We did what we could – rehabilitation, exercise on balance lenses, walks on the harness. However, it was clear that if we want to participate, I have to leave Chase without agility training. The shoulder has improved, so we went to try it.
Well, without training, it’s not exactly that good idea. When we made the team with the girls, we all knew that either we could win the whole Czech Championship or completely fail … well, we succeeded the other. Already in the first run we have all the disqualifications … I would leave without comment, I have to laugh now. In the second run of the teams, we had just “two” bars and even the second time, but it was unfortunate, it was too much faults for the team competition.
The next day we went to the crazy jumping of Sascha Grunder, which we managed to finish, but unfortunately with two refusals in very similar situations. I do not even remember that we would ever have the refusals with Chase (we are doing disqualifications, not refusals). Agility we were going to enjoy, without training it was a lot of for both of us, so we ended somewhere from the beginning of the run.
I was terribly happy that we could eventually go, and that Chase did not show any physical problems for a second. The problem was a long break in training and a bad timing. But I would say it is the last one … I hope that we will be able to participate in a few more Czech Championship!
